Guide

See which products a Shopify store added this month

Every Shopify storefront serves its catalogue as JSON, and each product carries the date it was published. That is enough to list what is new.

Look at the raw data

Open https://the-store.com/products.json?limit=250 in a browser tab. A store that keeps it open answers with a list of products. Each one has published_at, created_at and updated_at, a handle, tags, and variants with price, compare_at_price and available.

Sort by publish date

The newest published_at values are the recent launches. Two cautions. A product can be published long after it was created, so use published_at and not created_at. And a store can unpublish and republish a product, which moves the date.

Past 250 products

The endpoint returns at most 250 products a page. Add &page=2, &page=3 and so on until a page comes back with fewer than 250. Wait between requests; a store may answer 429 if you hurry.

Do the same with Storeprobe

Storeprobe does these steps for the tab you click on, up to 10 pages with 500 ms between them, and lists the newest launches. On the next visit it shows what is new since your last read.
